Pasta is homemade and hand rolled each day using fresh local mozzarella cheese.
Atlas Café is a Moroccan bazaar of vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian fare. Its eight colorful tile-and-wrought-iron tables liven up the atmosphere while leaving just one pathway to the tiny café’s cash register. Behind that, close-quartered cooks sing along with the persistent soundtrack of classic and Top 40 Middle Eastern tunes.
Chalkboards and mirrors hanging from the exposed brick walls reveal a lengthy menu of coffees and fruit shakes, crepes, wraps, Panini and sandwiches, as well as heartier couscous and pastas. Sandwich-style items are generously packed with vegetables, tofu or dairy-based cheeses, smoked fish, and faux or real meats, often in creative combinations. The incongruously named Mississippi Chicken Chops Baguette matches bouillon-flavored seitan chicken with a tangy, creamed tofu spread, roasted red peppers and ripe avocado. Kalamata olive-spiked Mediterranean crepes taste strangely but deliciously like the pizza of a vegetable-lover’s dream
Such well-prepared, healthy and affordable grub draws a constant stream of regulars into the bohemian nook—a motley mix of NYU co-eds, track bike-riding punk rockers, and neighborhood vets. Don’t leave without trying a brownie or a slice of cake from Vegan Treats bakery of Bethlehem, PA. They put the butter-and-eggs class of desserts to shame.
Mediterranean Breakfast—Choice of three eggs, with tomato, olives, onions and cheese served with a bagel or small salad on the side
Moroccan Chicken Salad—Mixed greens, roasted peppers, olives and onions
Smoked Salmon Baguette—Goat cheese, capers, onions, tomato and baby spinach
Vegan Mississippi Chicken—Tofu, cheese, avocado and roasted peppers on a baguette
Vegan Mediterranean Crepe—Tomato, olives, roasted peppers, mushrooms, onions, tofu and cheese
Atlas Shake—Blueberry, raspberry, cranberry and papaya juice
Waited an hour, and then called to follow up. They said my food was delivered when in fact it was not, and was extremely rude on the phone and hung up on me and refused a refund. Never again.

Worst delivery .. Delivery guy had no idea how to get here and couldn't speak even the slightest of English.. Then said he was at my door and kept saying my address but wasn't there, so I went 20 minutes looking for the guy around the building ... Decided to call the restaurant and they said the delivery guy called me and I did not answer multiple times (What????) ... yet I was receiving calls from the restaurant after they tried to get a hold of the guy.

The food is ok, but they have poor management and poor customer service. Very disappointed with this operation.

TERRIBLE NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! I placed an order which never came, I rang to find out that the item I ordered was unavailable... I then asked for a refund which was refused on the grounds that they didn't know how to do it. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE TOTAL NIGHTMARE!

I get the veggie panini and the Atlas cafe at least twice a week (add balsamic on the veggie panini). Its not easy to find a really good veggie sandwich - but Atlas has it and it's ahmazinggg. I get it with the Atlas Shake too- so much real berry!

The worst ordering experience I've had. I asked for olive oil on a brie and apple sandwich and they put olives from a jar on the sandwich. Inedible. The bread was stale and the apples were brown.

Their eggs with goat cheese is a fave for weekend brunch-at-home...

Honestly I was super disappointed. I hadn't eaten at Atlas in a few years and had memories of fresh salads and homemade soups. The lentil soup was decent enough but was delivered in a coffee cup. The Vegan Ginger Moroccan Chicken Salad was disgusting, sorry to say. It was not ginger in the least and the "salad" was composed of a few wilted spinach leaves. I actually thought they delivered the wrong order and called back. The staff was very kind and brought me another but it was the same dish. I will not be ordering from here again.

You know your sandwiches are bad when they can't even be saved by Sriracha sauce. Honey mustard tasted sort of like nail polish remover.

Delicious soup. I will continue to order from here. Delivery time was lightening fast at lunch hour.

The avocado sandwich I ordered was NOT an avocado sandwich! Instead of avocado, they put guacamole & it was completely missing sprouts. WORST sandwich ever on stale bread!

Good food but I think they are all stoned. I had to repeat my order about 5 times before they understood what I was picking up, then it turned out they had physically lost my sandwich. They then said they had no idea how long it would take to make a new one. Then some guy found it sitting on a table. I really think they were all stoned.

healthy but messy- salad always comes such a mess that everything in the delivery bag is covered with dressing. only offer their house balsamic dressing- no good options

This food was pretty gross.

Though I've had great experiences in the past with Atlas Cafe, this time was pretty bad. The delivery man was gruff, and said nothing to me after I said, "Are you from Atlas?" (he was turned slightly away from me when I came to the door of the building). Then as he handed me the bag of food, I said, "Oh, thanks brother!", with no response again. Before the bag fully left his hand he had already started turning away to leave. Then, upon pulling my meal from the bag, a bunch of liquid (I'm assuming from the eggs) spilled out, getting all over my legs and my desk chair. There was a hole in the paper bag from the liquid making it soggy. Lastly, I ordered a salad with the eggs, but was given a bagel. I'm not mad, but I figured I should say something about the experience.

This was just what I was expecting. Nothing disappointing. Nothing exceptional either, but I was happy with my order.

I order breakfast from them 1-3 times a week at the office. Sometimes they can be slow, but average delivery time is as quoted in the confirmation email. I love their oatmeal and egg dishes, and being able to order a fresh juice in this neighborhood is a great plus as well. Never had an issue with the food or anything missing in the order once it's delivered. Overall, better than most of the diners or delis I have ordered from in the last year!

Food is always fresh and healthy. Staple of the neighborhood. Great guys run the place.

Not sure if they were having a bad morning, but the last time I ordered from this place it was honestly horrible. I had ordered the vegan moroccan tofu scramble-which includes a salad, and a toasted bagel. The only thing out of this order that was edible was the salad, and tofu scramble. Everything else in my order had this chemical taste, from the bagel to the vegan moroccan chicken. It almost tasted as though maybe a sprinkle of a cleaning spray was laced into my food. My first bite, I gagged and threw up in my trash bin afraid I was going to get sick or poisoned. Only reason why I am going to give you guys 1 star is for the salad that was the only thing edible. I take back my last rave review I gave you guys with a 5 star rating.

Really like this place - i order here almost every weekend. They're on time and always get my order right. I'm a bit surprised at all the negative reviews actually, but perhaps i've been lucky.

I have been coming here for 7 years and I'm excited that they are on seamless. Great food with a lot of options for non-meat eaters like myself. It's an East Village institution!

Waited 90 minutes for a delivery that was a 5 minute walk for the delivery man. Never came. Was told they were at my location and called multiple times, which was a lie. I eventually had to go and pick the food up on my own because they would not send it out again. Management and staff is uniformly useless. Thanks for nothing, Atlas Cafe. Oh! And my "Dairy free" shake was made for me again, but this time using an uncleaned blender right in front of me.

We waited over 90 minutes for delivery. I had to throw it away. The salmon was shriveled up and disgusting. The soup was suppose to be lentil but was cold watery and half filled. It was a waste of $30. Do not order from these people. I called and the manager and owner were very rude.

I ordered the kale salad, and while I was eating, I shifted a leaf, and the entire bottom half of my salad was moldy. Unacceptable.

Absolutely awful. Worst seamless experience yet. I'll never order again.

Good food, but they need to be more realistic about their delivery. It rarely is within the 30-45 minutes they advertise

HORRIBLE service! food arrived cold and wasn't even my order. The delivery guy had to come back after me waiting an hour to give me my right order. The manager never refunded me.

I happen to love this place! The Rafaela Salad is great, and the Yummy fruity salad is one of the best fruit salads I've ever ordered- all great fruit, unlike other places that load you up with melon. This is def one of my go-to spots

I have ordered a salad from here a couple times and decided I never feel great after eating it. I'm not sure the ingredients are fresh. For example: the "avocado" option in a salad is actually a scoop of somewhat watery, mediocre packaged guacamole, NOT slices or chunks of actual avocado. That being said, their sandwhiches are ok. Probably the same issue with the ingredients but I don't expect to feel "great" after eating a deli sandwich... I'd skip this place for fresher options in the hood.

Ordered steak and eggs, with a side balsamic salad. The food came an hour and 15 minutes later, wet and soggy. Everything was put into the same container so my steak and eggs are soaked in salad dressing. Nice job guys.

What happened to the previous salmon platter? I ordered the "new" salmon couscous platter, which was supposed to include spinach. NO spinach anywhere, they substituted it with cabbage and pumpkin without asking me. My last order from this place.
Posted 2 years ago by Ursula L.
I ordered the "Create Your Own Salad" and they were good on almost everything. All the ingredients were included - except they didn't give me a baguette side like I had ordered, which disappointed me, but I got over it because it was only 50 cents. The delivery time was good and they were friendly.
The bad: the avocado wasn't even ripe yet - still yellow and hard to eat. The ingredients tasted as if they weren't very fresh also. The mixed greens weren't so bad, but the rest just had a funny taste.
Maybe this was just a bad day, but I probably won't order from here again.

Atlas never delivered my food. After 1 hr and 40 minutes I had to cancel. Atlas had no idea where their delivery guy was and it was evident they weren't too concerned if they were an hour late.

Food was pretty basic. Kinda gross mock-meat in the wrap that I ordered (the vegan wrap). While I applaud vegan restaurants on Seamless, and the food came quickly, it was kinda just so-so taste wise. Probably wouldn't order again...

cafeteria style food- got our order of 4 items but with 3 really weird substitutions

Quick delivery, which probably why they forgot my pita bread. When I called to get it corrected I got a busy signal. Waited a bit and called again. The guy I spoke to explained to me that the "salad" I thought was a mistake was the platter I ordered, and would send someone out with my pita that was missing. They sent my pita out.

Morrocan Chicken- Chicken with a red pasta sauce and mixed greens... Very salty and sign of grilled peppers or onions... Did not resemble ant moroccan salad i'd ever had before :-(

They took over an hour to deliver, couldn't work my buzzer system, and then the salads we received , which were supposed to have egg and avocado, came with egg salad and guacamole. very odd. I will not be ordering from here again.
Posted 3 years ago by Alexandra L.
I ordered the Rafaela Salad and it came with a lot of corn--this salad was not supposed to have corn in it--I don't like corn in my salad and it is everywhere. The balsamic dressing is extremely sweet, and tastes very out-of-the-value-size-gallon.
The salad WAS supposed to come with avocado--one would expect sliced avocado--I got a to-go dressing container with guacamole instead.
The vegan pancakes were pretty good for being vegan--little rubbery, but that comes with the territory.
I might still give the crepes a shot in the future. But, definitely not ordering what I had today.

Would've given it four or five stars, but delivery was late (and unapologetic) and there were no utensils...

The food came 35 minutes late, extremely soggy, and unmarked. Didn't know what was what. Not terrible tasting, but we're not ordering from them again.
